Effect “Tikkun Olam”
Tikkun Olam is a Hebrew phrase meaning “repair of the world.” By teaching farmers successful methods for sustainable cricket farming, we aim to enable farmers across North America to participate in pioneering the development of this high-efficiency livestock. Insects can be used to reduce food and feed waste at each step of the supply chain, supplement or replace less efficient animal and plant proteins, provide stable incomes for marginalized and isolated populations, and dramatically reduce the human footprint on our planet.
Broaden our network of insect farms and farmers in North America
Insect agriculture offers tremendous opportunity up and down the food chain, and is fundamentally changing our food ecosystem. Over the next fifty years, our industry will grow and diversify, bringing edible insects to consumers who want to participate in creating a more sustainable food infrastructure. By developing and maintaining a robust network of insect farms and farmers, we aim to harness cutting-edge methods in insect farming for the benefits of our network, our clients, and all mankind. To accomplish this goal, we will need hundreds of companies, thousands of farms, and tens of thousands of minds working together to build on this new platform. Will you be one of them?
